At
Montefeltro's court in Urbino he had his pictorical formation , thanks
to his teacher Piero della Francesca.
He worked between Milan (1479-1499) and Rome (1499-1514) . He represents a transition phase , which closes the architetonic experiences of the early Renaissance and creates new problems with a more modern conception of space and structure , proper of the '500 , to which it belongs not only chronogically. WORKS: "Eraclito and Democrito" Panigarola House , Milan (1477). "Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie" Milan (1479 -1499), indefined date , but of the Milanese period. "Temple of San Pietro in Montorio" Rome (1503). Plant for the rebuilding of the "Basilica di San Pietro"Rome (1506). |
