| He had his first
formation in Urbino in the workshop of the father , the painter Giovanni
Santi , and among the works in Montefeltro's court. Attracted from the
presence of Leonardo and Michelangelo , he goes to Florence in 1504 . he
stays in the Tuscan city until the autmn of 1508 when , invited by Pope
Giulio II and with the help of Bramante , he moves in Rome . Here ,
stimolated by the new Bramante's architecture and Michelangelo's
painting , he completes his artistic formation. He stayed in Rome until
his death , which came while he was still working on the realisation of
the marvellous project of the Imperial Rome's plant.
